Lumber suppliers in Fort Worth
Lumber pricing moves, and a framing package has dozens of lines: studs, plates, headers, sheathing, engineered lumber, treated material and hardware. Comparing yards by phone means repeating the list and hoping everyone priced the same grade. Bluezupply lets contractors in Fort Worth send the list once. Local lumber yards reply with their own quotes, and you compare them line by line.
Suppliers are joining the Fort Worth pilot now, so you may get fewer replies at first.

What you can request
- Dimensional framing lumber and studs
- OSB and plywood sheathing
- Engineered lumber (LVL, I-joists) and trusses
- Pressure-treated lumber for decks and sill plates
- Connectors, fasteners and framing hardware
How it works
- Upload your framing takeoff, for example studs, plates, headers, OSB sheathing, LVLs and hardware, with grade and length on every line.
- See the lumber yards whose delivery radius includes your jobsite, and pick the ones you want. One request, multiple quotes.
- Compare grade, price, lead time and delivery phases line by line. Award the whole package or split it, and track each drop.
Before you send, run through the construction takeoff checklist. When quotes come back, use how to compare material quotes. Looking for other trades? See all building material suppliers in Fort Worth.
Tips for a request that gets answered fast
- Give the species and grade, size and length on every line (for example, "2x4x8 SPF #2"). Grade stamps follow rules under the American Lumber Standard Committee.
- State the treatment and its use (ground contact or above ground) for treated lumber.
- Separate engineered lumber and trusses, which are often special order with longer lead times.
- Ask how long pricing holds. Commodity lumber can move between quote and award.
- Include the delivery phases (walls, roof, sheathing) if your site has limited laydown space.
Lumber delivery planning
Ask each yard how it delivers: boom truck, forklift or hand unload, and whether it can drop the material at specific spots on the site. Framing packages delivered all at once can block access on tight lots, so phase the deliveries if space is limited. Store the material off the ground and covered once it arrives.

Questions
Why do lumber quotes for the same list come back so different?
Often the grade, species, length or treatment differs between quotes, or the delivery and the quote validity aren't the same. Make the spec explicit and compare line by line.
Can I get quotes on engineered lumber and trusses in the same request?
Yes. Add them as separate lines with specs or drawing references. Suppliers that don't carry them can leave them blank, and you can see that clearly.
How long will a lumber quote hold?
It depends on the supplier and the market. Ask in your request and compare quotes from the same date.
Is it free?
Yes. Bluezupply is in free public beta for contractors and suppliers. No hidden fees.
I run a lumber yard. How do I start receiving requests?
